Our design commitments

Trust depends on clear boundaries and visible evidence.

Business context can contain sensitive information, consequential decisions and capabilities that change external systems. Our design approach puts access, authority, provenance and outcome verification within the architecture of the work.

Trust depends on clear boundaries

Context

Source-linked records

Assembled with provenance from authorized tools.

Prepared Step

Scoped option ready

Evidence-backed next step prepared for inspection.

Authority

Human review gate

Consequential actions wait for explicit approval.

01

Access boundaries

Share context according to responsibility and permission.

User, organizational and connected-system permissions must shape what information can be assembled and presented.

Role-aware views and AI preparation should apply those boundaries throughout the work. A shared business context does not imply universal visibility.

02

Authority boundaries

Every action needs a basis for permission.

The availability of a capability tells us what a system can do. Authorization determines whether a particular person or AI may use it for the intended purpose.

Our approach separates preparation, human review, authorization and execution. Approval must remain connected to the action it permits and cannot override source permissions.

03

Evidence and provenance

Make the basis of a decision inspectable.

People should be able to see which sources support a conclusion, where interpretation has been applied and what remains uncertain.

Conflicting records, stale evidence and changes in source information should remain visible enough to inform review and correction.

04

Outcome accountability

Preserve what happened after the decision.

Work can be requested, authorized, attempted, completed or left unresolved. Those states have different meanings.

The architecture should retain the relationship between the approved intent, the attempted operation and the evidence available about its result.

Product evaluation

Assess the controls that apply to your environment.

These principles describe our engineering approach. A product evaluation also needs evidence about the release, deployment, connected providers and applicable agreements.

For SpineWorkspace evaluation, discuss current controls, data handling and available documentation with the product team.
